      <p>Per note in collection: The map of a buried treasure in Portland, Oregon surfaced in the posthumous papers of Judge Everett Smith.  The map was in the possession of his son, Irving D. Smith, until his death.  With no living relatives, his papers went to the court which gave the map to the Oregon Historical Society.</p>
