      <head> Historical Note</head>
      <p>According to the 1930 University of Idaho yearbook, freshman J. Morris O’Donnell
				wrote the words and music of <title>Go, Vandals, Go</title> as the freshmen class
				entry in the annual student music and spirit competition. The song, explained the
				yearbook editors, was performed by a male chorus accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra
				and was a “decided hit.”</p>

      <p>The collection consists of a single <extref href="http://www.lib.uidaho.edu/special-collections/pdf/Go_Vandals_Go.pdf">handwritten score</extref> of five pages. On the first page of the score,
				possibly written by the composer are the following words: “Go, Vandals, Go;” “The
				University of Idaho official fight song;” “Words &amp; Music by J. Morris O’Donnell,
				’33;” and “First presented by the Class of ’33 in the “Song Fest,” May 18,
				1930.”</p>
