  	<head>Biography of Julian Blaustein</head><p>Julian Blaustein (1913- ) was a motion picture producer. He produced army training films during World War II, then moved to Los Angeles and began producing films in Hollywood in 1949. Some of his films were "Broken Arrow" (1950), "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (1951), "Bell, Book, and Candle" (1958), and "Khartoum" (1966).</p>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Collection contains professional correspondence (1948-1977); subject files with correspondence, newspaper clippings, contracts, budgets, research notes and photocopied scripts for motion pictures produced by Blaustein (1948-1983); photographs; and materials relating to a lawsuit between Blaustein, actors Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor and director Franco Zeffirelli over the production of the motion picture "Taming of the Shrew" (1964-1972).</p>
