  		<p>A library was begun by the Washington Agricultural College concurrent with the
  			opening of the college in 1892. In 1909, the Library acquired its own building, or
  			rather wing of a building, and with it an identity as a major division within the
  			college.</p>

			<p>The collection consists of a variety of small sets of materials. Present are: Carpet
				and furnishing fabric samples from the opening of the Owen Science and Engineering
				Library. A 2006 Library Summit data set. Open stacks issues between 1985 and 1992.
				Owen Sci. Library orientation documents. Science Library newsletters, 1972 to 1979.
				New Holland Addition (Terrell) move planning documents, 1993-1994. Photos from when
				Holland, Owen, and Terrell were each new, 1950-1994. Some reorganization papers from
				the 1990s to 2010s.</p>

			<p>This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing
				order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting

			<p>Bonny Boyan of the Libraries’ Administrative Office donated this collection to the
				Washington State University Libraries in October of 2022, where it was retained as
				UA 2022-12. Apparently the material had been in storage in the basement of the Owen
				Science and Engineering Library for many years.</p>

			<p>University Archivist Mark O’English accessioned this collection in December, 2022.
				The materials should be jointly processed with the other Libraries collections of
				papers held in MASC. The Open Stacks issues are probably in the WSU Pubs and can be
				interfiled there, and there may be processed sets of photographs in which some of
				the images may belong.</p>
