WSU's college of Agriculture came into existence with the start of instruction at the school in 1892. The major in Soils dates only to 1966, while Agronomy dates to 1929.
The collection consists of approximately 80 black and white photographic prints of Agronomy and Soils students, apparently in the 1969-1971 range. Agronomy and Soils were the two majors offered within the department of Agronomy, in WSU's college of Agriculture. Some negatives are included. Also present are a few photos of state FFA crops judging, which are high school students.
This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff.
The items remain in the order in which they came. Few are labeled, but about half are in labeled envelopes. All dated materials are in the 1969-1970 range.
