  	<head>Biography of Gregory Morton</head><p>Gregory Morton was a theater, television, and movie actor from the 1930s to the 1970s. Morton was born in New York City in 1911. He started his acting career at the Manhattan Opera House in 1937. Morton went on to appear in numerous plays including "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Lost Colony". He moved into television in the early 1950s and made numerous appearances in several television series, including "Lights Out" and "Perry Mason". Morton starting acting in movies during the mid 1950s and appeared in a number of films, including "The Interns" (1962) and "The Mephisto Waltz" (1971). He also wrote the screenplay for "The Adultress" (1973) and the children's book "The Family" (1980) and was an amateur poet. Gregory Morton passed away on January 28, 1986.</p>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Collection concerns the life and career of Gregory Morton. It contains a variety of materials, including photographs (personal photos and publicity stills), correspondence, clippings, a biographical sketch, and a program for "The Parisians" (in which Morton appeared). It also contains original scripts written by Morton for "The Virtuoso" and "Wish You Were Here" and a copy of his children's book "The Family". There are photocopied manuscripts of his poetry as well.</p>
