Subjects include Events (floods, fires, large group gatherings, parades, and the Alaskan Gold Rush), Geographic areas (Oregon, Washington, California, and Alaska, with emphasis on cities and natural scenery in Oregon), Industries and transportation (logging, mining, fishing, shipping, construction, trains, automobiles, boats, and horses), Land and cityscapes (houses, hotels, storefronts, farms, and volcanoes), and People (portraits and group photos of Native Americans, pioneers, politicians, entertainers, workers, individuals, and families).</abstract>
