Taylor was an agent for Brigham Young to manage the emigration of LDS from New York to Salt Lake City, and an iron miner in Iron County, Utah.</abstract>

      <p>The Thomas Taylor papers contains articles of agreement to form a company for iron processing in Iron County (1883); autobiographical reminiscences of supervising LDS emigration from New York, his loss of funds through the refusal of Brigham Young to pay expenses, and his statement concerning the involvement of high LDS Church officials in his Iron County transactions (1883-1900); photocopied obituary from the Salt Lake Tribune (1900).</p>
