      <p>Marvin J. Bertoch (1915-1978) was a Salt Lake City attorney. He received his BA and Law Degree from the University of Utah. He wrote several articles, short stories, plays, novelettes, and novels, many of which remain unpublished.</p>
      <p> The photographs in this collection are part of a textbook that Marvin J. Bertoch wrote on Ancient Greece. The textbook titled Modern Echoes From Ancient Hills can be found in Manuscripts, Accession number 1489 box 3, folders 7 (textbook draft) and 8 (introduction and forward).</p>
      <p> This collection includes 27 small color photographs, all mounted on card stock with captions typed below the photograph. All photographs in this collection were taken by either Marvin J. Bertoch or J. Clawson.</p>
      <p> An addendum to this collection, added March, 2000, includes U.S. Navy photographs and various, miscellaneous photographs from LCS reunions during 1993 and 1994.</p>
