		  information, the diary was written by Edith Reneau when she was in her early

      <p>The collection consists of a woman's 1917 diary of her life on a
		  homestead located in Big Hole in Beaverhead County in Southwest Montana. Each
		  day’s entry begins with a description of the weather, and continues with brief
		  descriptions of her activities for the day, the work done by the men, and any
		  visitors to the homestead. According to second-hand donor information, the
		  diary was written by Edith Reneau when she was in her early twenties.</p>
      <p>A transcript of this diary was created in 2015.</p>
