Michigan State University was founding in 1855 as a land-grant institution with Joseph R. Williams as its first president. Over the course of a century, the college went through various name changes before it settled on Michigan State University in 1964.
Collection contains 25 pamphlets regarding water resource management, water contaminants, and a catalog titled “A Guide to the Michigan State University Archives and Historical Collections, East Lansing, Michigan” from 1976.
