      <p>Nellis Eugene Hill was born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming, the son of John A. and Evelyn “Corthell” Hill and the grandson of Nellis Eugene Corthell. The Corthell and Hill families were active in the Laramie community and the University of Wyoming. Nellis Eugene Hill became a United States Army pilot and served in World War II.</p>
