<p>The C. C. Hall Photograph Album consists of the original 53 black and white photographs, some with sepia-toning caused by aging, and 1 photographic postcard. All images were removed from the original album; the album pages did not include captions and were discarded. The images were collected by C. C. (Charles Chandler) Hall during his career with the U.S. Forest Service from 1906 to 1933. R. E. Marsh, a photographer for the U.S. Forest Service took some but not all of the photographs; the other photographers are unknown. The photographs depict the forest rangers, forest stations and camps, as well as station events and other activities, such as hunting. The collection includes: five photographs of Aldo Leopold, Forest Supervisor and naturalist; three photographs of Ira T. Yarnall, Deputy Supervisor, Santa Fe National Forest; three of Fred E. Ames, Forest Supervisor, Umpqua Forest Reserve; and five group photographs of forest supervisors attending a National Forest Service Leadership Meeting held in Montana between 1910-1919.
