The Washington Forest Protection Association was organized in 1908 and originally named the Washington Forest Fire Association. The membership includes businesses and individuals. The purpose of the association is to promote reponsible mangement of private forests, primarily for timber, but also for fish, wildlife, recreation, air and water quality.
