  	<head>Biography of Benedict Willis Law</head>
  	<p>Benedict Willis (B.W.) Law was born in Litchfield, Connecticut in March of 1851. He graduated from Cornell University in 1874 and married Docia Willett in 1878. They primarily lived in Lawton Station, New York and at their estate (“The Katydids") in Collins, New York. During the early 1900s, B.W. Law worked as the secretary and treasurer for the Willow Creek Land and Livestock Company in Dixon, Wyoming along the Wyoming-Colorado border in Carbon County. He wrote letters home to his family, mostly his wife, discussing his life and work in Wyoming and on the ranch. </p>
