Small collection of photographs depicting J. Prescott Johnson's parents and paternal grandfather. Several of the images relate to the World War I military service of Johnson's father, John Edward Johnson: two portraits, taken in 1917, which show him in uniform; a group portrait of his unit, Company K of the 3rd Oregon; and a photograph of a hand-drawn postcard that he sent to his future wife, Caroline Eaton, from France during the war. The collection also includes a 1919 portrait of John Edward Johnson and Caroline Johnson, and an undated portrait of Henry Johnson (born Heinrich Bengtas), who was John Edward Johnson's father.
