The Fred A. Rosenstock papers (1849-1970) consist of business letters and research materials dealing with the history of the Western United States. The bulk of the materials consists of correspondence between Fred Rosenstock and Dale Morgan concerning publishing activities and personal correspondence from various persons to Alphonso Jennings, a western outlaw. Also included are a few historical items: a photocopy and transcript of an 1849 overland diary of Hugh Skinner, a letter from J. Exton to Hepworth Dixon (1868), and a letter from James W. Porter to Charlotte Porter Avery (1859). Fred Rosenstock (1895-1986) was a bookstore owner who's main interest was the history of the West.
