The Oregon Stage Coach Company, owned by Henry W. Corbett, ran a major stagecoach route between California and Oregon in the mid 1800s.

Henry Corbett, of Massachusetts, came to live in Portland in 1851. He became a co-publisher of the Oregonian newspaper, and in 1867 he served as a US senator.

In 1866, Corbett began a stagecoach company that ran between Sacramento and Portland. "What had previously been called the California and Oregon Stage Line was [thereafter] named the Oregon Stage [Coach] Company. Although changes were subsequently made in organization, the Oregon Stage Company continued to control the stagecoach business between California and Oregon until these two states were linked by rail in 1887."
