				Washington State University: Enoch A. Bryan, Ernest O. Holland, and Wilson Compton.
				These items were removed from the presidents' office files, presumably for
				safekeeping, and were later transferred to the archives. Each document is signed by
				a prominent individual--government officials, private citizens, and others. In some
				cases a copy of related outgoing correspondence is also included.</p>
