Eastern Washington Area Agency on Aging was organized January 1, 1978 by the City of Spokane and Ferry, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens and Whitman Counties. The Agency is an advisory board for various agencies providing social and health service for persons over the age of 60, especially those with low income. The authority for the organization is based on the Older Americans Act of 1965 and a state statute dated 1976.
The collection consists of minutes, reports, and enclosures of the Eastern Washington Area Agency on Aging from 1983-1984. The materials were accumulated by Dean C. Fletcher while an advisory panel member.
The materials are maintained in the original order received by the Library.
