         <p>Colleen Chartier, a Seattle-based fine art photographer, is an alumni
		  of the University of Washington (class of 1978) with a Master of Fine Arts
		  degree. She primarily focuses on commercial photography but has explored
		  creative routes of photography such as the use of a camera phone. Her artwork
		  has been featured in museum collections including the Seattle Art Museum and
		  the Denver Art Museum.</p>

         <p>In 1979, the King County Arts Commission brought together a group of
		  internationally recognized artists to demonstrate how environmentally damaged
		  sites---abandoned gravel pits, surface mines, air strips, and landfills---might
		  be transformed into works of art, called earthworks.　 </p>

         <p>14 photographs of earthworks art by various artists, including Robert
		  Morris, Herbert Bayer and Mary Miss, made while the works were under
