Two black and white panoramic photographs taken by Harold M. Brown in 1954. One, dated February 24, 1954, and taken from the Oregon side of the Columbia River, shows The Dalles Dam under construction and an excavator and dump truck at work in the foreground. A marker at left points to Mount Hood in the background, and one at right points to the Celilo Locks. The second panorama, also taken from the Oregon side of the Columbia, shows the river and Celilo Falls, with railroad tracks and parked cars in the foreground, and a bridge at far left.
