      <bioghist encodinganalog="5450_">
    
         <p>Cecil P. "Bud" Compau was born on May 28, 1897 in Elgin, Oregon. He graduated from Washington State College in 1923 before working as a field representative for a bank in Spokane. In 1946 he was elected to the executive board of the Inland Empire Council of Boy Scouts. He died on May 29, 1983.</p>

         <p>The Cecil P. "Bud" Compau Collection consists of a photograph album, "Places and Faces," that contains images of the 1918 harvest, camping at Lewis Peak, scenes along the Columbia River, a visit to Seaside, Oregon and photographs of Touchet, Washington school groups. This collection, which dates from 1900 to 1983, also contains a copy of his obituary and an article describing his banking career, in Spokane, Washington.</p>
