         <p>This collection consists of the plays, introductions, and essay that went into Stabler's 1978 book, Four French Renaissance Plays. Each play includes an introduction, some of which were written by Stabler. The collection also contains a full manuscript of the book, as well as the photograph legend for the manuscript.</p>

         <p>Arthur Stabler was a professor of foreign languages and literature at Washington State University for 19 years. In 1978, he published a book, Four Renaissance Plays, translated from French with introductions and an introductory essay on French Renaissance theater. The works that went into this book are contained in this collection.</p>
