      <p>H. Tom Davis was an environmental engineer for the Idaho Water Resource Board and an environmental activist. He served as a board member of the Hells Canyon Preservation Council in the late 1960s, was the vice president of the Idaho Environmental Council and was the Boise director of the Greater Sawtooth Preservation Council in the 1970s.</p>

      <p>The H. Tom Davis papers span the years 1961-1978. Included in the papers are articles, correspondence, photographs, and reports.</p>

      <p>The original order was retained with all of the materials from the 1999 accession.</p>
