Historical Note

Emmett D. Chisum (1918-2009) was a Reference Librarian at the University of Wyoming, William Robertson Coe Library and a Research Historian at the University of Wyoming, American Heritage Center. He wrote a number of historical books and reference guides. He also received special commendation from the American Association for State and Local History for researching and writing history. As a reference librarian, most viewed him as the face of Coe Library for many years.
