      <p>Richard Eutlain is an author and professor emeritus of History at the University of New Mexico. He was born in Wapato, Washington and reared on a sheep ranch in eastern Washington State. Richard Etulain completed his undergraduate degree in English and history at Northwest Nazarene College. He did his graduate studies at University of Oregon. He holds a Masters Degree in American Literature and his PhD in American History and Literature. He has been a prolific chronicler of the times and events of the American west as well as a Fulbright lecturer.</p>

      <p>The collection contains research materials and literary manuscripts for Etulain's works on William U'Ren, Ernest Haycox, and Abraham Lincoln. There is also research materials on important people of the Pacific Northwest and Mark Hatfield.</p>
