		  Canal</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2"><p>Frederica (Freda) Christina Schorr was born on June 15, 1891, to John
		  Sebastian Schorr and Minnie Hegelweide. Freda spent her early childhood on her
		  family's homestead, which was settled between Mason Lake and the Hood Canal
		  under the Homestead Act during the administration of Grover Cleveland. She
		  married Benjamin Graham Morris (date unknown), and in the early years of their
		  marriage they operated a general store on Spirit Lake at the foot of Mount St.
		  Helens. They later moved to the University District in Seattle and then to
		  Kirkland. During this time, Freda remembers spending time in downtown Seattle
		  and seeing Chief Seattle's daughter, Princess Angeline, selling baskets on a
		  street corner. In the 1940's they moved to the South Court Apartments in
		  Bremerton, Washington, which have since been razed. Freda C. Morris died on
		  August 17, 1985.</p></bioghist><scopecontent><p>Photographs of Freda Christine Schoor and the Schorr family and
		  homestead, Mason Lake. Also includes views of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific
		  Exposition, the South Court Apartments in Bremerton, the ferry Kalakala, Hood
		  Canal and a group of sailors lined up on a dock in front of a U.S. Fisheries
