Historical Note:

The Oregon State University Home Economics Alumni Association was
founded in 1971 to promote the growth and development of home economics at
Oregon State; sponsor conferences, symposia, and special events; and
foster fellowship among the members. Membership was open to all persons
who had been enrolled as students with majors in the College (School) of
Home Economics and non-alumni faculty. By the early 1990s, the mission had
evolved to promote continued association between alumni and the home
economics programs of the College and for the exchange of expertise,
research, and skills among alumni, faculty, and students.

Home Economics, a survey of home economics alumni, long-range planning for
the association, a fundraising campaign for the Family Study Center, and
symposia on home-based business development are included.

The records include College of Home Economics publications and

The photographs depict events at the College's centennial celebration
in 1988, including the sale of centennial memorabilia. These include b/w
