Frater Albertus Spagyricus (1911-1984), formerly Albert Richard Riedel, was born on May 5, 1911 in Dresden, Germany. He developed a system of alchemical teaching based on the Paracelsian concept of three essentials using the spagyric technique of seperation and cohabitation. Much of his teachings and developed methods can be found in his books, which were translated into many languages. He was a rosicrucian, a member of the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC). He was the founder of the Paracelsus Research Society in Salt Lake City, which later became known as the Paracelsus College. After Frater Albertus died in 1984, the college ceased operations in the United States. However, it continued on in Australia.
