Tape recorded interview conducted by F. Roberts in Feb 1978. Accession also includes xerox copies of reminiscence and a passport.

Mr. Azose describes his emigration from France to Seattle. He talks about his childhood and schooling in his native Turkey and describes in detail the events that structured his emigration to this country. He stowed away on a Russian ship and arrived in France where he remained for 1 1/2 years until he was able to secure passage to Seattle. His illegal status caused some problems but they were overcome. He ends by recounting his days in New York, the trip across the country, and his arrival in Seattle.

Except for the story of his early childhood education, the reminiscence is identical to the taped interview.
