Timothy Kendell was born 9 October 1861 at South Weber, Davis County, Utah. At that time, it was called Kingston's Fort. When the Morrisites moved there and the population grew, it became known as Morristown, but this was for a short time and then the name was changed back to South Weber. Kendell's parents were English converts to the LDS Church, coming to Salt Lake City in 1854. In 1855, they headed for the Weber River area so they could have irrigation for a farm. Timothy Kendell married Sarah Ann Prophet in 1888 in the Logan temple. He served in various capacities in the LDS Church, as well as Justice of the Peace, director of the Uintah Central Canal Co., Notary Public, weigh master for the Amalgamated Sugar Co., and various other positions in the community.

The autobiography mentions Joseph Morris and the Morrisite Movement, as well as names of early settlers and industries. Kendell also relates information about Uintah after the railroad came through the area and how it was a terminus for freight and passengers going south. Biographies of Sarah Ann Prophet Kendell, Margaret Drinkwater Prophet, and Richard Prophet are included. Compiled by Carolyn Kendell.
