		  by Harry Bonath, an artist who created illustrations for local, regional, and
		  national ad campaigns through Harry Bonath &amp; Associates located in Seattle,
		  Washington</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="ARN6832810" altrender="sync"><p>Harry Bonath was born in Ohio and grew up in Sacramento, CA, before
		  attending the California School of Fine Arts. He came to Seattle in 1927 as one
		  of the "California Style" school of advertising artists. Bonath became the art
		  director of two different advertising agencies (including Erwin, Wasey &amp;
		  Co.) before World War II and then served in the Navy during the war. After the
		  war, he returned to Seattle and opened up Harry Bonath &amp; Associates, which
		  he ran until his death in 1976. He did illustrations for the 
		<title render="italic" linktype="simple">Seattle Times</title> and many other local,
		regional, and national ad campaigns. He also exhibited his paintings in various
		galleries and museums, including the Seattle Art Museum. Bonath was one of the
		founders of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters.</p></bioghist><scopecontent><p>Advertising art created by Harry Bonath for companies including
		  Rainier Beer, West Coast Airlines, Mapleine, Commercial Tire Company, Jim Hill
		  Apples, Frederick and Nelson's, Albers, Crescent, the Pacific Northwest Brewing
		  Industry, and others. Includes printed mockups, reproductions, drawings,
		  pamphlets, booklets, posters, and other printed advertisements. Three drawings
