      <abstract encodinganalog="5203">Chiefly copies (from 1936-1940) of <title altrender="italic">Columbian</title>, the newsletter published by the
				Mason-Walsh-Atkinson-Kier Company (MWAK), relating to the construction industry and
				its role in the building of Grand Coulee Dam. Beaty's father worked on the Grand
				Coulee Dam for the MWAK and collected their newsletters. The collection also
				includes a copy of William S. Shiach's <title altrender="italic">History of North
					Idaho</title> (1903), which was retained by Beaty's father because of
				genealogical interest.</abstract>
