History of the Wyoming Mummy

The San Pedro Mountains mummy (also known as Pedro) was discovered in October 1932 in Carbon County, Wyoming by two prospectors, Frank Carr and Cecil Mayne. Examined by X-Ray, the mummy was determined to be the body of an anencephalic Native American infant, dated around 1700. The mummy was an attraction in Meeteetse, Wyoming at a local drug store for many years before it was bought by Ivan T. Goodman, a Casper, Wyoming businessman. Then it was sold to a New York businessman, Leonard Walker. The mummy has since disappeared and its location is still unknown.
