      <head>Biography of Patricia McLinn</head>

<p>Patricia McLinn was an author and sports journalist. Born in Illinois, she earned a bachelor’s degree in English Composition and a master’s degree
in Journalism from Northwestern University. McLinn began her journalism career as a sportswriter for the <title>Rockford Register Star</title>, later
becoming assistant sports editor at <title>The Charlotte Observer</title> and then an editor at <title>The Washington Post</title>, where she served as copy chief
for the sports department and worked on the news service. In 1990, she published her first novel, <title>Hoops</title>, which became a RITA award
finalist and won the New Jersey Romance Writers Golden Leaf Award. Over the years, she wrote more than 40 titles, many influenced by her background
in sports writing and her research trips to Wyoming, which served as a setting for several of her romance series. She published with Harlequin
Enterprises, Delphi Books, and Belle Books, later branching into mystery with a series launched in 2012. In 2018, McLinn created the podcast
        “Authors Love Readers.”</p>
