  	<head>Biography of Anthony R. Michaelis</head><p>Anthony R. Michaelis was an internationally known science editor, journalist, and writer and an advocate for interdisciplinary research.  Michaelis was the founder and editor of "Interdisciplinary Science Reviews".  He also served as editor for the "London Daily Telegraph" during the 1960s and 1970s, where he covered a number of scientific subjects, particularly space exploration and space flight.</p>

  	<head>Scope and Content</head><p>Collection documents Anthony R. Michaelis' career as a science editor, journalist, and writer between the 1950s and 1980s.  About half of the collection concerns space exploration and space flight, which were subjects frequently covered by Michaelis.  The collection consists mainly of subject files for the articles he wrote for "Interdisciplinary Science Reviews" and the "London Daily Telegraph", which contain correspondence, manuscripts, clippings, photographs, and printed materials.  Collection also contains correspondence, clippings, photographs, press releases, press kits, notes , and miscellaneous printed materials.  Scrapbooks of Michaelis' articles in the "London Daily Telegraph" from the 1960s and 1970s are in this collection as well.</p>
