The Student Experience Center Records document the initiative leading to the creation of a new facility for students and student organizations at Oregon State University. The building opened in 2015 and houses centers and offices for student-lead organizations. "The Beginnings", a booklet created for the Student Experience Center grand opening, has been digitized. Historical Note:

With the proposed demolition of Snell Hall and the need for modern spaces for student organizations and offices in the mid-2000s, Oregon State University students lobbied for a new facility and renovation of the east wing of the Memorial Union. Student leaders from the Associated Students of Oregon State University and the Memorial Union lead the effort to create the new space, which was funded through student fees. Located between the Valley Library and the Memorial Union on a site that was previously a parking lot, the Student Experience Center opened in 2015 and houses centers and offices for student-lead organizations.
