a campus debit-card programThe Department of Housing and Food Services at the University of
Washington operates student housing, residence hall dining, retail dining,
conference housing, catering services and a campus debit-card program. HFS
contributes to the mission of the University of Washington by providing
convenient, affordable student housing and quality food service to the
University community. The department is a self-sustaining, auxiliary unit of
the University and does not receive any University, state, federal or other
outside funds. Revenues from student housing, retail and residential food
service, catering and conferences are the sole source of funds for debt
service, capital improvements, and ongoing maintenance and operations.
