Ruth Hayward was a student at the University of Washington and graduated in 1940. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Hayward married Rodney Gwinn, also a member of the University of Washington class of 1940.

Student ephemera, theater programs, clippings, University of Washington campus photographs, and other materials taken from Ruth Elaine Hayward's student scrapbook. Student ephemera includes assignments, graduation information, sorority materials, and ticket stubs.
