The Marriott Library Exhibits Committee started when the Marriott Library first opened in 1968. Many exhibits were shown in the library atrium before the card catalogs filled that space. Several of the exhibits showcased the holdings of the library's Special Collections and concerned the life and history of the University of Utah. Sharon Shepherd was the Committee Chairman from 1975-1982.

The Marriott Library Exhibits Committee records (1968-1982) contain information on the individual exhibts showcased in the library from 1978-1982. The papers also have information on the committee from its beginning in 1968.

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.
