      <p>Florence Jeffers was historian of the Madison Valley Women's Club, a
		  member of the Federated Women's Clubs, when she wrote the history of Madison
		  Valley.</p>

      <p>The collection consists of a single manuscript, 
		<title>History of Madison Valley</title>, authored on an unknown date. It
		relates the early settlement and history of the Madison Valley in Montana from
		about 1863 to 1908.</p>
