The Sheri Slaughter Utah pottery collection (1858-2001) contains photocopies of articles and notes relating to the history of pottery in Utah, and a daily account book (1866-1888) and ledger (1881-1893) from the Eardley Brothers Pottery Company. Sheri Slaughter was a student and connoisseur of Utah pottery, and she collected this material as part of her interest in that subject. This collection also consists of a family history compiled by Sheri Eardley Slaughter entitled, "Bedson Eardley and Mary Ann Holding." This family history book centers around two Mormon families who emigrated from England to Utah in the 19th Century. Bedson Eardley came to Utah as a handcart pioneer in 1856. Bedson Eardley married Mary Ann Holding in 1976. The Holdings migrated to Utah in 1853 but returned to England in 1854. Mary Ann Holding did not emigrate to Utah until 1875. This book is divided into six sections that detail the history, lives, and progeny of Bedson Eardley and Mary Ann Holding.
