The Delta Phi Literary and Debating Society met weekly to discuss and debate such topics as political questions, capital punishment, United States history, women's suffrage, and national issues current for their time.
The Delta Phi Literary and Debating Society minute books (1872-1888) consist of two books, detailing the membership and concerns of this early University of Deseret society.
