      <head>Biographical Note</head>
      <p>Daniel J. Donohue (1869-1939) was an Irish immigrant who grew up in
		  Chicago. He worked in the mercantile business in Chicago, Butte, Montana, and
		  Hamilton, Montana before opening his own store, D. J. Donohue Company, in
		  Missoula in 1900. He married Kate Hennessy (1866-1951) in Butte in 1894. They
		  had three daughters: Dorothy, Eileen and Kathryn.</p>

      <p>This collection consists of four photographs albums (one not bound) of
		  images documenting the activities of the Donohue family. Included are photos of
		  Missoula and Butte residential areas, including the Donohue home on Gerald
		  Avenue in Missoula, Sacred Heart Academy in Missoula, the University of Montana
		  campus and events, and family vacations.</p>
