Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Fred Ehrlich was born on 23 November 1939 in Butte, Montana. He earned a BA in Biology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and then a DDS at Northwestern in Chicago. After serving in the army as a dentist, including time in Vietnam, he and his wife moved to Seattle, Washington in 1967, and then to Edmonds and Lynnwood, Washington.

In this interview Fred Ehrlich provides his grandparents' names and where they were from, and describes his education and marriage and move to the West Coast. Fred talks about how he decided to go into dentistry and some aspects of having had that career. The Jewish organizations of which he's been a member include: Temple de Hirsch, Beth Shalom, Emanuel Congregation, Chabad Lubavitch, Capital Hill Minyan. He's also participated in the Seattle District and Snohomish County Dental Societies, Edmonds Jaycees, Anti-Defamation League, and Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI). He concluded with some information about his family and advice he'd give to young people growing up today.
