Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Pedro Bacán is a flamenco guitarist, born in 1951 in Lebrija, Spain into a family of artists, singers, and musicians. In 1980, he was named the Premio Nacional de Guitarra by the Cátedra de Flamencología y Estudios Folkloricos Andaluces. For over 20 years, he performed at various North American universities, theaters and cultural centers, as well as flamenco festivals throughout Andalucia. He died in a car accident in 1997.
