Vivian Williams has documented and performed Northwest folk music since her teens in the 1950's. Williams is well known in the U.S. and Canada for her fiddling ability. Considered one of the leading old time and bluegrass fiddlers in the Pacific Northwest, Williams' tunes have been recorded by many prominent folk and bluegrass musicians. She holds a B.A. degree in Northwest History from Reed College, Portland, Oregon and an M.A. degree in Anthropology (specializing in Ethnomusicology) from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Martin Sampson was a chief of the Swinomish tribe of Indians. As a tribal leader, storyteller, author, and performer, he raised awareness of the cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest.
