Biographical NoteReturn to Top

B. Wayne Crist was born September 14, 1921 in Quinter, Kansas. He graduated from Quinter High School in 1939, and received BA from McPherson College in 1943. He attended Bethany Theological Seminary and acquired a Master of Divinity degree in 1946. He later earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. He was visiting professor at Bethany Theological Seminary from 1955-1956. Crist had ministerial positions in the Church of the Brethren in Polo, Illinois (1946-1952); Wenatchee (1956-1961); Los Angeles, California (1961-1969); Pomona, California (1969-1972); McPherson, Kansas (1972-1986). Later he was a member of the Brethern-Baptist Church in Wenatchee, Washington. He died in Quinter, Kansas on February 18, 2014
