Six volumes of "The Optimist," the Forest Grove High School yearbook, dated 1922, 1923, 1927, 1929, 1930, and 1941. Some of the yearbooks belonged to the donor's family and others were bought at antique stores.

Forest Grove High School was founded in 1907, where it was the sole public high school in the town through the 2000s. It was originally located on the corner of 17th and Elm Streets. The high school published yearbooks beginning at least as early as the 1920s.
